A compact version of J. Rockett Audio Designs’ current Blue Note OD production model, the Blue Note Tour Series is sonically identical to the original, but it does not include the Hot Switch option. Designed for the touring guitarist, the Blue Note Tour Series sports a roadworthy steel chassis and J. Rockett’s Speed Switch system. It delivers subtle, eminently usable overdrive that sits right on the edge of breakup, its crunch factor dependent on how hard you dig in. You could play an entire jazz or blues gig with the Blue Note Tour Series permanently engaged.




Excellent touch sensitivity and responsiveness
The Blue Note Tour Series rewards your playing technique with excellent touch sensitivity and responsiveness — and it also happens to be one of the warmer, more musical-sounding overdrives we’ve heard at Sweetwater. The controls — Gain, Tone, Fat, and Volume — are quite easy to use, and no matter where they’re set, they deliver killer tone. The Tone pot adjusts the high frequencies and smoothness, while the Fat knob is a subtle low-end trim that we’ve found particularly useful for making adjustments when switching between single-coil pickups and humbuckers.
