Great for down-tuned progressive and death metal, the Custom Shop Slug sports a 2.87" bobbin length - a tad longer than a standard humbucker - so Duncan includes a custom mounting ring. Sweetwater tip: if you're mounting it directly in a pickguard, a slight modification may be necessary.
