This Limited Edition Tonewood Edition English Walnut version is a celebration of the J-45 Standard, Gibson’s best-selling acoustic of all time. Nicknamed, “The Workhorse,” and first introduced in 1942, this iconic acoustic has become the cornerstone of its round-shoulder, dreadnought line. World-renowned for its full, balanced expression, warm bass and excellent projection, this Tonewood Edition continues the renowned J-45 sound with stunning English walnut back and sides. Walnut is known as a stunning hardwood. It produces a beautiful tone with plenty of midrange and overtones, as well as a sublime low end. Upgraded with L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup system with Volume, Tone, and Compression for superior natural tone when amplified. Limited to only 75 hand-built instruments from the Gibson Acoustic Shop, located among wild rivers, open space, and in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
