The guitar's semi-hollow body is based on the popular Thinlines of the 1960s, while features such as a '57 soft V neck profile and a hand-wound Blacktop Tele bridge pickup easily conjure the tones and feel of a 1952 machine. And the Greasebucket tone circuit, 9.5" fretboard radius, and solid rosewood neck place the '50s Thinline Tele Relic firmly in the present.

As soon as you hold the Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '50s Thinline Tele Relic semi-hollowbody, your hands will tell you they're wrapped around a vintage instrument from the early days of the electric guitar. Custom Shop Fender electronics
The engine that makes the Limited Edition '50s Thinline Tele Relic run is its pair of Fender Custom Shop hand-wound single-coil pickups. The neck pickup is Fender's popular "Twisted" Tele design, while the bridge pickup is a Blackguard Tele pickup that carries the sounds of the original guitars. Under the hood, these pickups are complemented with a modern Greasebucket tone circuit. This circuit completely removes the guitar's tone pot from the signal flow when turned all the way up. Sweetwater guitarists love how clear and present this makes the guitar sound.
