This NAMM Show Special demonstrates the legendary craftsmanship that you have come to expect from C.F. Martin Guitar Co. For the 2016 Summer NAMM show, Martin created a gorgeous 00 14-fret, sloped shoulder guitar that will appeal to collectors and players of all levels. Limited to a maximum of 30, the SS-00L41-16 draws its inspiration from Martin’s Golden Era of guitar construction. The body is built using all hide glue construction for tighter joints and seams. To replicate the sound of the 1930s, the top is made of Adirondack spruce, aged with Martin’s propriety Vintage Tone System (VTS) to target the weight and moisture of a pre-war Martin acoustic. Visually striking moabi was hand-selected for the body to compliment the top and marquetry of this fine instrument.To complete the presentation, the top is accented with a style 41 pearl inlay pattern and is paired exquisitely with rich European flamed maple binding.The ebony fingerboard is meticulously inlaid with a skeleton diamond and wing design, bound with European flamed maple to make this guitar as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear. The neck is fashioned of solid mahogany, and shaped with a modified low oval high performance neck taper. A carbon fiber truss rod is used to make an extremely light neck that is comfortable and easy to play. Skeletonized ratio tuning gears will make fast work of tuning the guitar.The SS-00L41-16 is a masterpiece that will compliment any fine guitar collection.
