A 5" gooseneck makes it easy to position the mic, yet Sweetwater A/V techs have found that it's short enough that it won't dominate the frame of you're on camera. Add to that the included MX400SMP surface-mount preamp, and you get stellar audio and compatibility with a wide range of Shure wireless transmitter bases.
