Meticulously handcrafted by Gibson’s elite Custom Shop luthiers, the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue VOS — like every Gibson Custom guitar — receives an ultra-precise Plek Pro setup, which optimizes the fretboard and nut for incredibly accurate intonation and a “just right” feel. And fine details like the solid rosewood fingerboard and the 17-degree headstock angle not only add to the amazing tone and feel of this guitar, they remain true to the Gibson’s illustrious ES Series legacy. The vintage-style nitrocellulose lacquer finish is significantly thinner than today’s polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to “breathe.” Nitro finishes not only look amazing; they also enhance the instrument’s tonal qualities. This guitar has the look (and feel) of a lovingly cared-for classic — one that will only improve with age.
