Get your hands on a true legend with this Sweetwater exclusive from Squier. The Classic Vibe '50s Esquire brings you the classic tone, design, and playability of an electric that predated the Tele and laid the foundation for similar solidbody electrics to follow. The Classic Vibe '50s features a resonant, lightweight pine body with a classic 1-ply white pickguard finished with a polyurethane gloss that is also a nod to the past. True to the original, a solo single-coil bridge pickup delivers the classic tone that inspired so many early guitarists in genres ranging from country to rock. A vintage, 3-saddle, string-thru-body bridge stays true to the original design, providing great tuning and intonation support. Finally, a classic C-profile maple neck with maple fingerboard offers incredible playability and smooth response.




Classic tone in a no-frills pickup
The solo single-coil pickup in the Esquire features a 3-way pickup selector that lets you dial in various sounds. Throw the selector all the way forward and you bypass the tone control while retaining volume control. This forward position offers a lighter, strum-friendly tone. The middle position activates both tone and volume for a warmer tone, great for lead or chords. In the back position, you again bypass the tone control and get a lot more high end and punch for sustaining leads.




Vintage neck
The C-profile maple neck has been cut to a hefty 9.5" radius — another true-to-the-original feature that makes this vintage send-up a real treat to play. The maple fingerboard features 21 narrow-tall frets for comfortable chording and lead runs. And the 3-saddle, string-thru-body bridge enhances sustain and improves intonation.
