The Bearfoot FX Model H (4 knob) is Bearfoot’s nod to the classic Hiwatt tones heard in the late sixties and early seventies on {your favorite British rock album from that era}. The Model H produces an amplike overdrive with dynamic distortion abilities. At low gain settings, the pedal is very responsive to playing attack; as you crank the drive knob, you basically get a HiWatt that is turned up not just to 11 but to 20! The tone knob is a treble roll off but also changes the headroom and impact—like moving a mic in front of a speaker cabinet. The 4 knob version of the Model H adds a treble control knob that allows the Model H to be fine tuned for any guitar rig. The treble control starts darker than the standard Model H and allows for ample treble/upper-mid adjustment. The tone and treble controls affect different parts of the circuit and combine to let you get the exact impact and definition your rig requires.
Bearfoot FX is the brainchild of Bjorn Juhl of BJF Design and Donner Rusk of Donnerbox. Every pedal is handpainted and no two are exactly alike. The pedals now ship with a plain, unpainted bottom plate to help ensure the most secure contact with adhesive Velcro for use on pedalboards. Bearfoot FX pedals are handmade in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
