The upgraded StingRay H Fretless BFR bass is the only fretless StingRay special that Music Man are offering in 2019. It features a highly figured neck (normal StingRay Specials do not). The neck has a glossy polyester finish as opposed to the oil/wax finish they normally use. It also comes with electronics that have powerful neodymium magnets for higher output and an 18-volt 3-Band preamp for extra clean headroom without clipping.Solid roadworthy construction, sans pickguard, 3+1 tuning key configuration, and the ever popular Music Man humbucker, all together produce a look, feel and sound that is remarkably unmistakable. Limited to 105 worldwide, this special StingRay ships in a nice hardshell case.Ball Family Reserve is a celebration of their heritage in instrument craftsmanship, which features some of the finest figured tone woods and finishes available.
