Yamaha's own custom woofer pickup tone
A custom woofer pickup developed by Yamaha Guitar Development engineers fuels Billy's signature sound. It combines a powerful low end and solid fundamental with a DiMarzio-designed pickup at the bridge position, delivering an incredible tonal range and making sure your tone stands out from the rest of the band. And for dialing in exactly what you want from the custom woofer, a high-cut switch for the front pickup tone control boosts bass output from the front pickup only — talk about tonal options!

DiMarzio- and Sheehan-designed Will Power pickup
The Will Power middle pickup on the Yamaha Attitude LTDIII has a broader magnetic field than other pickups and gives more punch to individual notes and harmonic overtones to everything you play. Because Billy Sheehan has used the original DiMarzio Model P and Model One bass pickups for many years, DiMarzio has worked with him to make modifications for a pickup that gives him (and you) great, growly lows; magnificent mids; and lilting highs for a balanced, finished tone.
