These pickups were hand-wound by Fender's Master Pickup Winder, Josefina Campos, whose pickups have become some of the most sought-after pickups on the market today. These pickups are made with 43-gauge Formvar, just like the originals. Descended from Leo Fender Himself
The Josefina 50/51 Telecaster pickup set is hand-wound by Josefina Campos, Fender Custom Shop's Master Pickup Winder. She learned her craft from the legendary Abigail Ybarra, who learned to wind pickups from Leo Fender himself. Each set of Josefina's hand-wound pickups has a unique quality that sets them apart from mass-produced versions. Her technique produces pickups that have added depth and articulation that you won't find anywhere else.
