A labor of love from Daisuke Kitahara, a long time friend and business partner of James Tyler, the original concept was to design an affordable James Tyler instrument exclusively for the Japanese market. After years of research to find the right facility that would craft these instruments, Daisuke settled on ASKA, located in Nagano, Japan. The ASKA team immediately headed to Los Angeles to study James Tylers process, using his computer CAD models to carefully recreate exact replicas of James most popular designs. It took over a year of prototyping and dialing in the Studio Elite and Classic models, ensuring they were not only visually identical, but that they were intrinsically Tyler, with all the heart and soul that make their American made counterparts so desirable. After playing these for ourselves, the Wildwood Staff can confirm, these instruments are Tylers, through and through. Featuring American made James Tyler pickups, James Tyler body styles and exceptional construction, these phenomenal instruments are packed with value and astonishing playability, giving players all over the world access to an instrument that is intrinsically Tyler.
