The inky-finished Paiste 2002 Giga Bell Ride, branded the PsychOctopus after its creator, sounds something like another famous large-belled ride. It has a dry ping and throaty bell tone that work well for metal and articulate cymbal work. But what surprised us here at Sweetwater is how great this cymbal sounds crashed! The Paiste 2002 Giga Bell is an all-around musical cymbal, and its dark wash and definition suit it to a wide range of musical styles.
