Based on the Baldwin Burns Buzzaround fuzz from the 60’s, the Skinpimp Buzzaround is a crunchy, articulate fuzz pedal that yields loads of harmonics and sustain. The 3-transistor design takes the tone control (Timbre) directly from the collector of the third transistor making for an interactivity between the Tone and Balace controls that has to be heard to be believed. The raspy voice of the Skinpimp Buzzaround can be tamed with these controls and it can produce anything from classic King Crimson to scooped, heavy Big Muff tones with the twist of a knob. Loads of sustain are on tap for those long, trippy solo lines and when put to its paces, harmonics jump out of the sound like leaping bullfrogs. The Skinpimp Buzzaround may be based on a more obscure pedal but the tone and versatility make for an iconic sound that will fit nicely into any guitarists rig.
