This system features a low-profile undersaddle transducer that's more stable and durable than many standard ribbon-type pickups. Unnecessary internal components have been removed, enhancing the coupling between the pickup and the guitar, and improving the sensitivity of the transducer. The result is a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound. With an unobtrusive and removable volume control mounted just inside the soundhole, the Element VTC gives your L-00 Koa the amplification you need, with zero compromises in tone or convenience.
Nitrocellulose lacquer finish enhances tone, looks, and feel
The Gibson Acoustic L-00 Koa wears a gorgeous Antique Natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a finish favored by many Sweetwater guitarists. Nitro finishes - standard back in the day - are significantly thinner than today's polyurethane finishes, allowing the instrument to "breathe." The L-00 Koa's nitro finish not only intensifies the grain of its honey-toned koa top, ribs, and back - it also enhances the instrument's tonal qualities.
