Ideal for microphones, instruments, and line-level sources, this portable, all-steel preamp delivers the real sound of a pro studio to the masses, providing superior sonic performance to onboard preamps on low-cost mixers and interfaces while maintaining very low noise. Variable input and output gain controls let you precisely adjust your signal levels, and the handy onboard phase reversal switch and +48V phantom power selection are great utilities for achieving an optimal sound with any microphone or audio source. With an impedance matching input, the Tube MP Studio V3 functions as an excellent DI box as well, and the use of both XLR and 1/4" I/O lets you connect to and from any range of audio equipment. The Tube MP includes a universal switching power supply for global compatibility. V3 Variable Valve Voicing This Tube MP Studio V3 features ART’s proprietary V3 technology. V3 (which stands for Variable Valve Voicing), provides optimized reference points to begin the recording process for guitars, bass guitars, synths, acoustic instruments, percussion, and more. ART engineers ran this preamplification circuit through a battery of tests and real-life studio conditions. Their goal was to create a processor that would allow a user to have presets that were optimized for specific recording applications. ART set out to create a preamp that would be nimble enough to handle both violins and kick drums, and nearly everything in between. This means that it is now quicker and easier than ever to make great recordings. OPL Circuit The Tube MP Studio V3 employs OPL (Output Protection Limiting) technology to protect the next component in your signal path from clipping and overloads. When the OPL circuit is engaged, the LED clip meter will turn red whenever the output signal peaks exceed the limiter's threshold, at which point the limiter will reduce gain automatically to prevent output clipping.
