The Tasty Chips Electronics GR-MEGA is the ultimate hardware granular workstation, delivering a comprehensive command center for slicing, dicing, scrubbing, and stretching all sorts of audio samples. Building on the breakthroughs made by Tasty Chips' GR-1, the GR-MEGA offers all the same hands-on control of granular synth parameters, while adding new synth modes, loads of modulation potential, expanded effects, and a revitalized engine and file structure for fast, intuitive sound design. The GR-MEGA also supports stereo samples, offering a much requested update to the GR-1's capabilities that takes maximum advantage of its highly malleable stereo-field effects.

At the core of the GR-MEGA are multiple modes which cover a wide range of digital audio sound design techniques. Granular and tape modes from the GR-1 have returned, while adding spectral synthesis (phase vocoding), a granular slice mode, and a sampler mode. The GR-MEGA is capable of four-layer multitimbral operation with 20-voice polyphony per layer, making the most of these flexible modes to give you four independent sample-mangling powerhouses to orchestrate at your leisure. Per-voice low and high-pass filters as well as up to four simultaneous audio effects give you even more options to shape and expand your sound design.

Take the reins of this granular beast with the GR-MEGA's expansive modulation matrix, offering hundreds of options for automating movement of sound parameters both internally and with signals from other gear. Independent variable-response ADSR envelopes for pitch, filter, and amplitude are available, as well as one freely assignable auxiliary envelope. A polyphonic step sequencer is also available for each multitimbral layer, making it easy to summon diverse rhythms and melodies from any source sample. Four LFOs or any other internal or external modulation may be routed to 100+ modulation destinations, giving you virtually limitless options for complex sound design.

This expansive sample-bending engine comes equipped with a wild amount of connectivity, making the GR-MEGA a convenient insert to any studio set-up. 512GB of internal memory alongside an included 32GB USB stick deliver plenty of storage for your samples. Eurorack connectivity is also included, allowing you to send gates from the GR-MEGA or inject external CV sources into its flexible mod matrix.
