The DX1E Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a fine example of Martin's commitment to preserving the earth's dwindling resources and designing guitars that are within reach of every aspiring guitarist. The DX1E is constructed with a combination of highly compressed wood fibers (high-pressure laminate, HPL) and traditional tonewoods, A built-in Classic 4 Sonicore Preamp System gives you control over the sound and some impressive features, The DX1E is equipped with Sonicore pickup and Switchjack, volume control slider, active bass, midrange, treble and brilliance slider controls, low battery LED, easy access "pull-out" housing.
