Providing the lush filtering heard in some of the most iconic polysynths, the MACA Filter from La 67 is a no-fuss filter with a silky smooth sound. MACA utilizes the SSI2140 chip, which is a modern reworking of the classic SSM2040, and is the same filter IC featured in Sequential's recently revived Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 synthesizers. Aside from the iconic 4-pole lowpass output, the addition of 2-pole lowpass and 4-pole bandpass outputs add further versatility to this great sounding filter. The input level can be pushed into overdrive for adding a bit of grit to your sound, and the resonance can be cranked up into self-oscillation for use as a sine wave oscillator. When you just need a straightforward filter with a great sound, La 67's MACA filter is your ticket to sublime sonic sculpting.
