Bring polyphony to your Eurorack system with the compact, full-voice Poly Cinematic Oscillator from Knobula. Often times when dealing with polyphony in the modular zone, you need to consider having multiple VCAs, filters, and envelopes, not to mention a mixer to blend it all together. While totally possible, that can take up an extraordinary amount of HP leaving less room in your case and diminishing the flexibility of your instrument. Enter Knobula with their debut module: the Poly Cinematic, which is an eight-voice polyphonic oscillator with 56 total oscillators, integrated envelope, filter, and reverb—all in stereo. Oh, and this is all only in 12hp.

The oscillator section on the PCO features a supersaw, square wave, and tonewheel—which is a series of sine waves. Each of these waveforms has three different modes to change the sonic texture, as well as affecting how the Detune knob functions. Above that is our Filter section which is straightforward: lowpass, Notch, and highpass modes with Cutoff, Resonance and Envelope Modulation depth. At the top is our Envelope Generator with dedicated knobs for Attack and Release, with a combo Decay/Sustain center knob.

All of this is controllable via a MIDI 3.5mm jack, and you can treat this as a monophonic voice by using the V/Oct input with your favorite sequencer. If you want to use chords sans keyboard, you can store several voicings and sequence them using the Chord Select CV input. There's voltage control for the Filter Freq as well as a Trigger input for the envelope. The Poly Cinematic Oscillator from Knobula is a fantastic addition to your case, or throw it into a separate, smaller enclosure for a huge sounding, ultra compact polyphonic synthesizer.
