Neova’s ring gestures provide intuitive, expressive control of your sound that have left Sweetwater’s MIDI maestros nothing short of impressed. Each gesture is attached to designated LED lights on Neova’s HUB. Vibrato (red) mimics the same gesture used on stringed instruments, employing a sine-shaped pitch change to the note you’re playing, customizable with threshold and gain parameters. Pitch bend (turquoise) functions much like a guitarist would bend a note on the string, except you’re moving your hand while your finger stays put on a key. This gesture is divided into five zones across four parameters, allowing you to fine tune pitch range and bend-curves. Tilt (yellow) and roll (purple) are almost-primal functions, reacting dynamically to the up-and-down motion of your hand, or “rolling” by rotating your forearm, typically done without touch the keys. Ranges for each can be easily mapped, boasting broad expressivity on any parameter you can imagine.
