Networked audio with format conversion

This incredibly flexible converter provides balanced 32 x 32 analog I/O on D-Sub25 connectors with professional studio levels up to +20dBu, adjustable in 1dB steps. On the digital side, the A32 Dante provides 64-channel MADI I/O on redundant BNC and optical fiber ports. The additional 2 x 4 ADAT ports (with port 4 switchable to S/PDIF) can convert all 32 analog channels. In addition, the PA32 Dante offers two RJ45 ports for integration into a Dante audio network with 64 channels of Dante/AES67 I/O.

High-quality converters, clocking, and DSP

The A32 Dante uses the latest-generation Cirrus Logic high-performance, low-latency converters. Combined with a temperature-compensated high-precision clock, active jitter reduction, and Analog Devices SHARC DSP processors for all 386 audio channels, the A32 Dante delivers exceptionally detailed sound. It also incorporates word clock I/O and traditional MIDI I/O for embedding signals and remote control of the unit. On top of that, you get intuitive 1-knob control, preset management, panel lock, and a sophisticated cross-format routing matrix.

Robust Dante implementation

With countless compatible products from dozens of respected manufacturers, Dante is the fastest-growing Audio-over-IP ecosystem. The Ferrofish A32 Dante gives you all the industry-leading features of Dante, including 64 channels bidirectional transmission and port redundancy. The A32 Dante can integrate isolated islands of analog, MADI, or ADAT gear into a Dante network or vice versa: adding, for instance, a group of network and analog devices to a MADI mixing console. Thanks to the A32 Dante’s internal routing matrix with its submix feature, Dante streams can be freely merged from channels of all other formats (analog, ADAT, or MADI) — and even from Dante inputs. For unmatched flexibility, the integrated headphone output can monitor any signal in the Dante network.

Plug-and-play network integration

Out of the box, the A32 Dante is fully compatible with any other Dante-enabled device. With the connection of an easily available Cat 5/6 cable, it integrates directly into the scalable network infrastructure and is immediately detected with all I/Os and automatically configured. Any room with a Dante LAN connection can be used for recording or mixing — simply plug the A32 Dante into the network and start working.
