FREE THE TONE RJ-2V RED JASPER OVERDRIVE PEDAL

ree The Tone's original RJ-1V Red Jasper received acclaim as their very first low-gain overdrive pedal, but was later discontinued in 2018 due to a shortage of components. New for 2022, the fan-favourite overdrive makes a much anticipated return in the form of the RJ-2V Red Jasper! Picking up when it's predecessor left off, the RJ-2V boasts a sound resembling that of vintage tube amps, with smooth highs, punchy mids and a tight low end, with a natural compression feel.

One of the new features on the RJ-2V is a mode switch that allows you to select from four different modes of low frequency characteristics (cut-off frequencies). In doing so, you can adjust the lower register output to suit the characteristics of your specific guitar/amplifier. Using carefully chosen, highly reliable components, the RJ-2V features Free The Tone's original HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit. The HTS circuit prevents degradation of the guitar signal even when the effect is turned off. Additionally, the output signal is in the same phase as the input signal which means you won't have to worry about phase reversal issues.

Boasting an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, the RJ-2V features controls for Level, Hi-Cut and Drive for simple but powerful tone shaping. At lower gain settings, the RJ-2V can be used to push an already overdriven amp further into saturation, adding sustain and tightening up the bottom end. Alternatively, push the gain a little higher and the RJ-2V adds a gritty, edge-of-breakup tone to a clean amp, for a host of useful applications.
