Create a Dynamic Light Show — No Operator Required
If you want to create dynamic, engaging light shows, the Roland VC-1-DMX is your secret weapon. This video lighting converter spontaneously generates dynamic lighting effects for any event — no operator needed. The VC-1-DMX outputs a DMX signal, which is automatically synchronized with incoming video and audio signals. Roland's advanced technology yields you real-time analysis and lightning-fast processing. And it's a cinch to use. Just connect your A/V source to the unit's HDMI input, and the VC-1-DMX does the rest, analyzing and distributing your unprocessed signal to a monitor or switcher via HDMI through. You can also feed this converter analog audio using its stereo RCA inputs. The VC-1-DMX also supports external MIDI control via a dedicated MIDI input and USB MIDI. Beyond that, you can customize your DMX settings with dedicated software for your macOS and Windows and select preset maps for various DMX lighting fixtures with dip switches located on the unit's side panel. Thanks to the VC-1-DMX, it’s easier than ever to deliver a pro light show.
Effortless synchronized lighting
The VC-1-DMX is one of the most effortless lighting solutions we've seen here at Sweetwater, and we've seen a lot! This amazing unit makes synchronizing video, sound, and lighting a piece of cake, enabling you to create a unified presentation — no lighting operator required. All you need to do is connect you’re sources to the unit's A/V inputs, and Roland's advanced technology does the rest. Your signals are analyzed, then routed out the VC-1-DMX's 3-pin and 5-pin DMX outputs, ready for distribution to all your DMX-equipped gear.
Translates any incoming signal into an eye-popping light show
The Roland VC-1-DMX works with any digital video and audio source you connect to its HDMI input. Have an analog sound source? No problem. The VC-1-DMX's stereo RCA audio inputs are primed and ready. This video lighting converter's powerful processing engine analyzes whatever A/V you feed it, extracting color, brightness, and other video information, along with beat, tempo, and volume audio information. The result is a dynamic light show that's an intelligent match for your performance — it's almost like magic!
Take command with MIDI-to-DMX conversion
Want extended control over your system? Courtesy of its onboard MIDI-to-DMX conversion, the VC-1-DMX is happy to oblige. Connect a hardware MIDI controller to the VC-1-DMX, and you'll be firmly in the driver's seat, using MIDI control change messages to adjust DMX parameters like global dimming, tilt, pan, and more. You can also control your DMX-equipped rig from lighting or music production software on your computer, thanks to the VC-1-DMX's USB MIDI support. You can also use editor software on your Mac or PC to configure the VC-1-DMX for all your DMX lighting hardware.
