The Tone Monk Karma Boost is not just your standard boost pedal. While it does provide up to 25db of boost over unity, the Karma doesn’t stop there. The Body control allows you to dial in the amount of depth of the overall boosted signal. Far left yields a shimmery high frequency filled tone while far right yields a big bottomed, gritty tone. As the Body control is dialed clockwise, the amount of bass content increases as well as the overall gain of the pedal. If this isn’t enough, the Tone Monk Karma Boost also features an internal trimmer that adjusts the bias of the body control from 9v-18v for another dimension to the sound. The Tone Monk Karma Boost controls are highly interactive and many different “sweet spot” settings can be found by experimenting.
