PRS’s stunning Glacier Glow finish accentuates the highly figured maple in the top — perfectly complementing the dark and refined ziricote neck and fingerboard. The body boasts Phase III locking tuners with eye-catching curly maple buttons. Sweetwater guitarists find that these tuners, combined with the beautifully machined Gen III Tremolo, offer unparalleled tuning stability, even with heavy vibrato use. A pairing of 85/15 and 59/09 pickups rounds out this Custom 24 with incredibly wide range and articulate humbucking tones. Classic tonewood pairingThe #9769 Custom 24’s mahogany body and curly maple top have a heritage that goes back all the way to the '50s. This pairing of tonewoods is renowned for one quality above all others: long, long sustain. Mahogany is a staple for solidbody guitars like the #9769, due to its strong fundamental tone. The curly maple top then imparts a bite and articulation that is a fantastic complement to the mahogany’s full tone — plus, it works particularly well with the bassy dual-humbucker configuration. Dual humbucker configurationThe #9769 sports a 85/15 in the bridge and a 59/09 in the neck position, offering a versatile tonal range that excels in both clean and dirty settings.
