It’s beauty, it’s grace, it’s awaiting your fervent embrace: the Taylor Limited-edition GAce-LTD Grand Auditorium features a vintage-sounding torrefied Sitka spruce top, gorgeous blackheart sassafras back and sides, and a charming ebony fingerboard. As you play different styles, the blackheart sassafras will change gears from the woody response of walnut to the note separation of maple to the overtones of rosewood. Taylor crafted this beautiful guitar with their revolutionary Expression System 2 behind-the-saddle pickup design that produces profound tone and amplified response in conjunction with the custom-designed preamp. To top it off, this guitar's supremely comfortable Grand Auditorium body with Venetian cutaway resonates richly and produces complex harmonics with an openly vibrant voice. Needless to say, when the GAce-LTD arrived at Sweetwater, guitarists couldn't get enough of it!

Customized bracing gives a richer, more vibrant voice than ever before

You'll notice that the Taylor GAce-LTD boasts exceptionally vibrant tones with a unique character. Taylor went back to the drawing board and redesigned their bracing patterns in a bid to get the optimum response out of each of their iconic body shapes. Taylor even added side bracing to add rigidity to the sides and enhance top and back movement. In the words of luthier Andy Powers, the updated Advanced Performance bracing pattern gives the updated GAce-LTD a "nice, cushy swell and long sustain, even with a delicate touch."


Grand Auditorium body style for exceptional resonance and clarity

Taylor's beloved Grand Auditorium body style employs the width and depth of a dreadnought. However, its waist is narrower, which gives Grand Auditorium-bodied acoustic guitars a sleeker look, with more treble zing. The Taylor GAce-LTD's Venetian cutaway also helps to sharpen the definition of each note. When used for a traditionally small-bodied classical instrument, the sonic result is breathtaking — and like nothing you've heard before.

Gorgeous tonewoods and sublime chameleon-like playability

The Grand Auditorium body and custom bracing mold this guitar into a gorgeous instrument with a powerful voice — but the tonewoods truly steal the show. Taylor cites blackheart sassafras as the chameleon of tonewoods, with a personality that reflects the player’s unique style and also reflects the differing properties of tonewoods such as walnut, maple, and rosewood. Not to mention, you can simply lose yourself staring at the gorgeous patterns on the back and sides. As for the top, the torrefied Sitka spruce offers a rich dynamic range and enchanting vintage tone while resisting swelling and shrinkage. Tie it all together with a mahogany neck and a bewitching ebony fingerboard and you’ve got a guitar with sublime playability that’ll last for years.

With Taylor's onboard Expression System 2 electronics, all the rich tonal character present in the GAce-LTD blooms without any bottom-end murkiness.The key to this sophisticated system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it’s positioned and how it’s integrated into the guitar’s saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls lets you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet polarity switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.
