Based on the revered 1176 compressor, the WesAudio _MIMAS analog compressor module offers the fast, punchy sound of FET compression combined with advanced digital control. When the _MIMAS is loaded into an NG500-compatible 500 series rack like the WesAudio _TITAN, you gain access to full session recall and automation capabilities from your DAW. The _MIMAS module is compatible with many standard 500 series racks too, with a dedicated USB connection for digital recall. Beyond compression and limiting, the WesAudio _MIMAS compressor module is perfect for adding a touch of analog saturation to your tracks for added harmonic complexity and richness — perfect for vocals and acoustic instruments.

Four ratio settings plus "all buttons in"

Just like the legendary studio compressor it's based on, _MIMAS offers 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 compression ratios. It also features the "all buttons in" mode for extreme compression effects. It's perfect for smashing drums and creating pumping effects.

Premium Carnhill transformers for analog richness and depth

WesAudio's _MIMAS module employs premium Carnhill transformers at the input and output stages for stellar audio quality. And using the input level control, you can add analog saturation to enhance harmonic richness even if you're not using compression. Just crank the input while lowering the output level to keep your signal level in check — you may soon find yourself running all your tracks through your _MIMAS module even if they don't require compression.

Full recall and automation when used with NG500-compatible racks

While the WesAudio _MIMAS compressor module will work with many standard 500 series racks, you'll get the most out of it when you load it into one of WesAudio's NG500-compatible racks, like their _TITAN series. NG500-compatible racks like the _TITAN allow for digital control over your modules, offering full session recall and supporting automation from your DAW. In a typical 500 series rack, just connect a USB cable directly to _DIONE for full recall capabilities.
