With the tempestuous VX100 Super Kraken, gain aficionados and extended-range players can prepare to set sail with an authentic 2-channel tube amp that submerges the limits of "small" amp capabilities.

Gain lovers: this one’s for you

Developed with renowned metal guitarist Rabea Massaad, The Super Kraken delivers hefty, versatile gain options. Gain mode I exemplifies classic British-style-friendly mids that create the perfect tonal range for genres like classic rock and metal — this mode especially complements dynamic playing within a hard rock structure. Conversely, Gain mode II provides a tighter, more grinding "American" midrange voice that is perfect for aggressive picking styles and heavy metal riffing. And yes, it djents.

Channels, effects, and switches

Given its two channels, two master volumes, and effects loop, The Super Kraken easily plunges into harmonic and stylistic embellishments that you can customize with the supplied footswitches or your own pedal switching system. Switch on the bass focus when using a lower extended range guitar to experience a powerful merge of control and definition. Need to cut down on the wattage? Check out the 30-watt low-power mode for when blowing the roof off isn't necessary.

Same Kraken bite with added capabilities

While Victory preserved the thunderous capabilities of the original VX Kraken, the VX100 Super Kraken adds improved functions that allow for even more controllability and experimentation. Now designed for MIDI, The Super Kraken lets you program footswitch controls, change channels, and introduce effects to produce the perfect storm-tossed voice you’re looking for. Switch on the added preamp boost to give your sound a tight, punchy bite similar to a TS-type pedal; explore clean mode for those high-headroom glassy cleans, and crunch mode for hot-rodded British tones.

Versatile power valves

The VX100 Super Kraken comes with bold, boisterously clear 6L6 power valves as standard. But if you’re ever looking to test the waters of its sonic capabilities, you can run warmer, crunchier EL34’s; for the versatile Super Kraken, these tubes offer subtly different characteristics.
