AION MODULAR 902

Part of Aion Modular's line of Moog-inspired Eurorack modules, the 902 VCA brings the sound quality and performance of vintage modular systems to modern Eurorack format. The 902 VCA is a remnant of a very different design philosophy than often seen today, packing a ton of utility into a deceptively simple interface. This VCA provides two differential signal inputs, each subtracted from one another if used in combination. The outputs provide positive and negative-going versions of the input signals—allowing for plenty of opportunities for novel signal processing, including negative feedback, peculiar phase-oriented effects, and more.

Three CV inputs combine with the "fixed control voltage" offset pot to define the amplification factor, and a large "control mode" switch determines whether the module's CV response is linear or exponential. Equally well-suited for processing CV and audio, the 902 VCA provides a refreshing approach in a realm where every VCA was beginning to seem more or less the same.
