The EQx5 from Boredbrain Music is a five band parametric stereo equalizer with level and balance controls. Each band has a CV patch point allowing for subtle movement or extreme modulations. The high and low bands feature a shelf shape, while the three mid-frequency bands use peak filter shapes. Sculpt your sound to taste with +/-12dB of cut or boost, giving you the ability to create wild fluctuations, subtle harmonic hugs, or fine tune your live performance to the acoustics of a space. Running in stereo means that you can easily have this at the end of your chain as the sauce that gives your piece life, or use it as a crossfader by patching in two mono signals and using the combined L+R Out. A level knob comes after the filter section, handy for giving you a little extra makeup gain or taming some frequencies, and it uses a pseudo-loudness feature which gradually boosts the high and low shelves as you turn it down to retain the signal's perceived fullness. Boredbrain Music's EQx5 helps smooth out, or accentuate, the edges of your patch or voice, and in a compact form factor that can easily find a home in your case.
