Built around a custom AS3320 VCF chip, the Black Dual VCF can operate as dual independent filters, link for stereo application, or chain either in series or parallel for mind-blowing modulations. The Black Dual VCF treats you to two chunky knobs for manual filter sweeps, alongside resonance and input level controls. It also includes attenuverters for resonance and cutoff. Synthesists at Sweetwater are particularly impressed by the Black Dual VCF’s 16-band spectrum analyzer, which lights up to provide visual feedback of the processed audio. Plus, there’s plenty of patchability, with separate highpass, bandpass, and lowpass filter outputs on each side of the unit, a summed output, and control inputs for the resonance and cutoff.
