The Ibanez JEM7V Steve Vai Left-Handed Electric Guitar has a alder contoured body and 24-fret JEM Prestige neck that provides easy access to all registers. The Tree of Life inlay on the rosewood fingerboard is a signature feature of the JEM's storied past. One of the other recognizable features on the stunning JEM7VL is Steve Vai's signature monkey grip. The JEM's groundbreaking Lion's Claw tremolo cavity allows pitches to be radically lowered or raised without obstruction.

Steve Vai's Signature Guitar features DiMarzio Evolution humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions and a DiMarzio Evolution single-coil in the middle position for a wide array of rock tones. The Evolution DP159 bridge pickup has a ceramic magnet for a tight, aggressive and louder sound with a wide range of overtones. The Evolution DPS1 single-coil also has a ceramic magnet yet delivers a bright, clean tone. The Evolution DP158 neck pickup was designed for Steve Vai and has been calibrated to match the DP159, and also has a ceramic magnet and is fat punchy and loud.

Edge Pro Tremolo
In the last two decades, Ibanez has done much to advance the art and science of the tremolo. The Edge-PRO represents the next phase in locking tremolos. The Edge-PRO features a unique sound metal chip on each saddle which helps increase sustain right at the most critical area, the intonation point. To avoid the problem of string holder blocks getting lost during string changes, the Edge-PRO's sliding string holders are actually part of the bridge and won't drop from the saddle unit. With the Edge-PRO design, there's no need to cut off the ball end of your strings when installing new strings on the Steve Vai lefty guitar.
