The Rothwell Tornado Overdrive is the latest offering from our good friends in the UK.ﾠ Built on a completely original design like all Rothwell products, the Tornado utilizes JFET technology to bring you a true amp-like overdrive in a pedal.ﾠ Natural and dynamic, the Rothwell Tornado responds like an amp, sounds like and amp, and even shares preamp characteristics that most overdrives fall short of.ﾠ The drive is very responsive to pick attack and volume knob control as well as providing singing sustain at higher gain levels.ﾠ

The Rothwell Tornado Overdrive uses some unique features to bring a true amp-like overdrive to your pedal board.ﾠ When the gain is set low, the tone is clean with a full bass response making a great clean boost pedal without sounding thin.ﾠ As the gain is increased the pre-gain bass response is lightly rolled off to keep the low end tight and responsive without getting flubby or overbearing.ﾠ At full gain the Rothwell Tornado produces singing saturation with a rich, full low end.ﾠ Another great feature is the Shift knob.ﾠ This changes the response of the tone knob altering the midrange content and shifting the turnover frequency.ﾠ This provides an almost endless palette of tones possible.
