Burns London surfaced in 1992 reintroducing the classic models originally produced in the 1960 's under the Ormston Burns Ltd company. The Burns Cobra though, is a contemporary design that is based on a popular American classic. The Burns Cobra features some of Burns ' innovative designs from yesteryear such as the knife-edge tremolo system and the acclaimed Burns Tri-Sonic single coil pickups. The Tri-Sonic pickups produce a fat, woody tone reminiscent of classic single coils but bigger and punchier. The combination of the maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and Tri-Sonic pickups allows the Burns Cobra to produce many different tones from dark and jazzy to bright and spanky and this guitar absolutely burns (no pun intended) with overdrive. The knife-edge tremolo system is renowned for returning to zero and keeping the guitar in tune. This combination of features yields a gorgeous sounding guitar with a pleasing vintage aesthetic that is both modern and classic.
