The Flickinger Germanium Griffin is a unique boost/fuzz pedal that uses two NOS Russian germanium transistors to attain a sweet spot type of tone. Unlike most germanium fuzz pedals that use high gain germanium transistors, the Flickinger Germanium Griffin uses two medium gain transistors that are fixed at full gain. The only control is Volume (and there is plenty of it) and control over the amount of saturation is purely in the volume knob of the guitar. Simplicity is key with the Flickinger Germanium Griffin, providing a multitude of tonal variation from just pick attack and volume settings making it a useful, versatile fuzz pedal that rivals anything out there.
