The T50p features a closed-back supraaural (on-ear) design for private listening in public environments, reducing noise leakage and increasing sound isolation. The closed design of the headphones shields the wearer from excessive ambient noise as well as preventing your music from leaking out. The T50p's satin finish stainless steel and aluminum, together with parts made from high-quality plastic give it an exclusive, stylish appearance. The earcups of the T50p swivel a full 90 degrees for listening and positioning convenience.

Custom "Tesla" Transducer Technology

The completely redesigned transducers achieve efficiency values of over one Tesla (a unit of measurement for magnetic flux density). That provides the listener with almost double as much volume at the same input level as traditional headphones.


Without exception, beyerdynamic manufactures the dynamic transducer systems that go into their headphones in-house. From the magnet and diaphragm to the careful wiring and circuitry, beyerdynamic controls quality at all levels of manufacturing, ensuring superior engineering in their headphones down to the smallest detail.


The T50p's dynamic transducer offers high sound reproduction quality, is mechanically very robust, and needs only a small amount of operating voltage which increases efficiency. This increased efficiency also leaves the T50p with greater power reserves for dynamic, undistorted sound that especially compensates well for low-spec mobile devices such as portable media players that often can't perform at the same level as dedicated home equipment.
