This exceptionally well-crafted baritone guitar is built with an alder body with a contoured maple top, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard in the traditional single-cut body style. That is where “traditional” takes a turn toward performance. The Duesenberg Starplayer Special Baritone is loaded with Deusenberg pickups; the Crunchbucker in the bridge position and the Grand Vintage humbucker in the neck. These pickups in conjunction with the all German made hardware provide a stellar platform for a baritone. The scale length has been stretched out to a hearty 28” to retain string tension and a tight, well-defined bottom end. The Duesenberg .014-.070 baritone strings provide plenty of low end and feel like glass when tuned B to B. The Duesenberg Starplayer Special Baritone is redefining the low end market with an instrument that utilizes a classic design with modern features that will bring a lifetime of great tone.
