The Triptik from Carol-Ann Amplifiers is a 3-channel all tube amplifier that provides the perfect platform for rock and roll. The Carol Anne Triptik does not rely on the conventional cascading gain stage design or solid state clipping to produce its incredible drive tones. Instead, each gain is run to its absolute extreme, keeping noise minimal and producing a rich overdrive tone that emphasizes harmonic overtones and sounds organic and natural at any setting. The Carol Anne Triptik also redefines EL34-based clean tones with a sparkle and shimmer not often found in an amp of this type. The clean channel is a perfect pedal platform and can get to mild break-up as well when the Pre-Gain control is pushed. The two overdrive channels are identical, each with a selection for Classic or Modern voicings. The Classic voicing nails those 70’s and 80’s British rock tones and has a bit less low end and gain than the Modern voicing. The Triptik’s Modern voicing is the perfect setting for that drop-tuned crushing sound with extended low end and more gain on tap. This allows the Carol Anne Triptik to keep up with any modern rock and metal tones while still maintaining an organic character that is felt as well as heard. The Carol Anne Triptik is a ground-up, original circuit that was designed from scratch to break the normal convention of tube amp design. From legendary classic rock tones to the most brutal of modern metal, the Carol Anne Triptik can do it all with a style and grace that is unusual for amplifiers of this genre.
