Fender Custom Shop 1961 Stratocaster - Firemist Silver o/ 3TS - Special Run

This Fender Custom Shop Special Run 61 Stratocaster Paint over Paint comes from a collaboration between the Fender Custom Shop and Humbucker Music, a Fender Showcase Dealer. We have always loved the look of the heavy relic'd paint over paint Strats, so we decided to do a highly custom run that includes Sherwood Green Metallic, Firemist Silver, Faded Ice Blue Metallic, Ocean Turquoise Metallic, Sonic Blue, Surf Green, Aged Olympic White, and Black, each over a Three Tone Sunburst finish. Also included are AAA Flamed Maple necks with AAA Rosewood fingerboards.
The choice of Fender Custom Shop hand-wound pickups gives you a wide range of versatility while still retaining a vintage feel and vibe to the tone. The FCS '69 Neck is thick yet punchy and able to cut through the mix without being too sharp. The FCS Fat 50's middle pickup gives you a very wide range of dynamic from thick bass, to crystalline highs. For the bridge position, we went with a handwound Texas Special that is slightly overwound giving you a slightly hotter signal across the frequency range. Tight bass, midrange chirp, and crystal clear highs are what these pickups are all about.
