The neck and body of this classic-inspired guitar is also made from solid mahogany, giving it a warmth and depth that players crave. Add on an Indian laurel fretboard and two ProBuckers and you've got a high-quality yet affordable axe that you won't want to put down.
Powerful ProBuckers and CTS Electronics
The Epiphone SG Standard '61 is built for any stage, powered by dual ProBucker humbucking pickups with CTS electronics, a new addition to this Epiphone series. The ProBucker pickups add a biting sound with a rich and warm tone.
Deluxe Tuners and Reinvented Headstock Shape
The Epiphone SG Standard '61 also gets an update to its headstock, taking inspiration from the classic Gibson Kalamazoo headstock shape that Musician's Friend customers love. This guitar also features Epiphone Deluxe Vintage machine heads that have been retooled to look like the Gibson Custom shop versions. The machine heads boast an 18:1 ratio for supreme tuning stability.

Other premium features of the Epiphone SG Standard '61 include a LockTone ABR tune-o-matic bridge, Graph Tech nut that enhances sustain and tonal balance, trapezoid inlays and nickel-plated hardware. Completing the Epiphone SG Standard '61 is its classic Vintage Cherry finish.
