Built in the same USA Custom Shop, the Sunset Custom boasts features like a deeply figured maple top, Jascar german silver fret wire, and Schecter USA Custom Shop pickups. Schecter has been building great guitars for years, and the Sunset Custom is your opportunity to own the cream of their crop.
Popular tonewood combination
Sweetwater guitarists know how important wood is to tone, and the tonewoods chosen for the Sunset Custom solidbody electric guitar provide a sound that fits into any sonic situation. The alder back has a very even tone. It's a responsive wood that doesn't overly hype any frequency. The maple neck and rosewood fretboard deliver clear attack and harmonic warmth. And the flame maple used for the guitar's top not only looks stunning, but it adds sustain and more note fundamental to your sound.
Wide-ranging tonal options
Onboard the Sunset Custom electric guitar is an electronics package engineered to work in a variety of musical situations. The bridge San Andreas humbucker and the neck and middle Monstertone stacked single-coil pickups were designed and hand wound in Schecter's USA Custom shop. The San Andreas has plenty of output for driving the front end of an amplifier or your favorite dirt boxes. But it can also be split for a standard S-style tone palette. And the Monstertones deliver the chime and bell-like sounds that single-coils are known for.
