Monsterpiece Classic Fuzz

The Monsterpiece Classic Fuzz is an evolution of the classic 2 transistor Germanium Fuzz Face circuit of the 1960’s. I have made a few modifications to the original such as adding an external input bias control & an internal transistor bias trim pot. I have also added a battery on/off mini toggle that you can use rather than unplugging from the input jack for you pedal board guys.
The controls are all highly interactive, so definitely experiment, and tweak until you find the sound you are after. Remember, this is a fuzz pedal, so some settings can be noisy.

Internally on the circuit board there is a transistor bias trim pot which you can use to fine tune the overall voice of your fuzz tone.

Powering your Classic:
Using a 9 volt battery is highly recommended. You can also power the Classic with a 9 volt DC center negative barrel plug adapter. Since the Classic has a positive ground circuit DO NOT daisy chain power with an adapter that is powering multiple pedals or you can cause harm to all. The exception is if you are using a power source such as the VooDoo Lab PP2 that has isolated power outs.
If you do choose adapter power, please be advised that you may experience unwanted noise… fuzz pedals are finicky ;0)


The Monsterpiece Classic Fuzz is a modern take on a beloved vintage fuzz circuit. The Classic Fuzz has two external bias controls making an extremely versatile pedal. Don't fret, the Monsterpiece Classic Fuzz still achieves those heavy, retro fuzz tones we all know and love.
