Monsterpiece Fuzz Monster Drive Boost

The Monsterpiece Monster Drive Treble Booster is the pedal you need to kick your amp in the nads! This is a classic Germanium transistor treble boost based on a venerable “rangy” circuit from the 1960’s. This type of pedal was the secret weapon of many of the Rock Gods of years gone by.


The Monsterpiece Monster Drive is a bit more versatile than the treble boost circuits from years past due to the “Voice” mini-toggle switch that allows you to switch between a more traditional treble boost to more of an upper mid range boost. Sounds great either way into an already cooking tube amp.

Controls:



Controls are as simple as can be on the Monster Drive… Volume knob and Voice mini-toggle switch.
There is a trimpot on the circuit board that is used to set the voltage from the transistor collector to ground. It comes preset in the optimal range which is between 6.6 volts and 7.2 volts.
The transistor is socketed so you can experiment with any pnp type transistor if you are into that sort of thing. Some will sound awesome, some will not… YMMV.
Switching is true bypass with a 3pdt stomp switch.
The Monster Drive can be powered via 9 volt battery (recommended) or by a standard 9 volt dc center negative barrel plug adapter. You cannot daisy chain power this pedal with an adapter powering other pedals. It needs it’s own isolated power source. The Monster Drive comes standard with a mini-toggle battery on/off switch.
