The Taylor GS-K has a Grand Symphony sized body with a solid top, back and sides masterfully crafted from spectacular Hawaiian Koa. This dense tropical hardwood has as bright a treble response as maple and the solid mids of mahogany and will age beautifully with an ever richer, more balanced tone. The GS-K’s solid top is structurally and acoustically reinforced with Taylor’s popular CV bracing, whose refined scalloped pieces work with the edge-contoured relief rout to deliver a louder, more articulate sound. The striking visual effect of the Koa and spruce body and the ebony fretboard, bridge and headstock overlay is enhanced by elegant fretboard inlays, abalone rosette and body outline, the ivoroid body and fretboard bindings and the Gotoh tuners, all of which work together to give the GS-K a look and a feel that is as magnificent as its sound.
