The Fender Parallel Universe Tele Mágico is both familiar and other-worldly, mixing old-school grandeur with Custom Shop know-how. Designed by Fender Master Builder Ron Thorn, it features a semi-hollow ash body, a flame maple neck and fingerboard, gold foilpickups and plenty of pearloid. The Mágico gets gold foils
Fender loads dual custom-designed gold foil pickups into the Mágico's ash thinline body. They chime and offer great string definition. We think you’ll like how the tonal palate thickens as you bump up the volume. A 3-way toggle and master volume/tone controls keep things simple, letting the complexity of the sound take center stage.
The Mágico’s neck makes a difference
The flame maple neck has a custom profile, transitioning from a soft-V to C-shape as you move up the neck. The back of the neck has a satin urethane finish for smooth play; the front gets gloss. The flame maple fretboard has a 12" radius, perfect for accurate bends.
Fender goes all-in with pearloid and custom hardware
The Mágico is covered with pearloid on the pickup rings, binding, tuning pegs, inlays and pickguard. There’s no escape from it. We embraced it, and think you should, too. The hardware is just as custom, featuring a “cut-off” bridge with 3 steel saddles and a unique control plate with knurled dome knobs. Tuners are deluxe cast/sealed with pearl buttons.
