The Presonus M80 provides 8 very high-end microphone preamps featuring high-quality custom transformers, FET, Class A discrete input buffers, twin servo gain stages, and no capacitors. Features that set the M80 Microphone/Line Pre apart from other multichannel preamps include left/right mix bus assignment and panning for multiple microphone/instrument stereo imaging. The Presonus M80 not only gives you 8 discrete outputs, it also serves as an 8x2 mixer. Add warmth to any microphone using the FET IDSS adjustment for harmonic distortion that emulates tube coloration and tape saturation. An auxiliary input section allows daisy chaining several M80s together — all sharing the last stereo output in the chain. Servo-balanced send and return jacks on each channel allow external balanced processing. Each channel has gain control, phase reversal, phantom power, a 20dB input pad, 80Hz rumble filter, and full output metering. Unit requires 2 rack spaces.
