The Fender Custom Shop ’63 Tele puts a legend in your hands. Hand
crafted to the precise specifications of a vintage ‘63 Telecaster, and
built with the same retooled equipment as the original. The ’63 Tele has
an alder body finished with the thinnest layer of faded sonic blue
nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the guitar to breathe and resonate
with outstanding tone. The quartersawn maple neck with the classic oval
“C” shaped contour feels as though it was custom made for your hand, and
the rosewood fretboard with rolled edges, 21 tall, jumbo 6105 frets and
a 9.5” fretboard radius plays like a dream, no matter how far you bend
any note on the guitar.


This extraordinary guitar has a couple of unique features that might
make it one of the finest you’ll ever play. First, a pair of Abigail
Ybarra hand-wound Twisted Tele pickups make a sound like some kind of
guitar fantasy come to life. The neck pickup uses taller magnets to
deliver increased output and a brighter, more transparent sound for a
rich, full rhythm tone you might be tempted to use for everything, while
the bridge pickup is wired for a hotter output and equipped with a
copper base plate for shielding and to exaggerate that classic Tele
twang.

Second, Fender’s attention to detail can be seen in the
extraordinarily accurate vintage-spec. hardware, meticulously crafted
according to the Tele’s original design. The “ashtray” bridge with three
threaded barrels preserves the snappy precision of each note while the
