The MJ Series Soloist SL2 sports a compound-radius ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12-inch radius that keeps things comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16-inch radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs with monumental string bends without fretting out — providing you with the best of both worlds. What’s more, the Soloist SL2’s neck-through-body design elicits near-endless sustain; built-in graphite reinforcement rods increase neck stability, making it highly resistant to temperature and humidity changes.

The Jackson MJ Series Soloist SL2 is loaded with a set of aggressive yet versatile Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The JB Model SH-4 bridge pickup supplies you with the classic sound of a hot-rodded humbucker, boasting plenty of output without sacrificing tone. Experience a powerful blend of harmonics, sustain, and distortion that’s great for everything from heavy blues to heavy metal. The Jazz Model SH-2n neck pickup is full and bright with smooth sustain — the perfect choice for fast runs and neck-position leads. It’s also great for clean rhythm playing. Gotoh tremolo dive-bombs with the best of them
For expressive performance, the MJ Series Soloist SL2 comes armed with a recessed Gotoh GE1996T tremolo. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have found this double-locking trem is one of the best high-end licensed Floyd Rose models out there. It’s made with premium components, including a hardened-steel baseplate, steel saddles, and a machined brass sustain block. Like all classic locking tremolos, the Gotoh GE1996T tolerates depraved amounts of whammy bar abuse without going out of tune.
